Nothing much happening this weekend, could not go out much and the camera too is on vacation, visiting ooty and Bandhipur with Parag... but out of sheer boredome am putting up these snaps that i think i have not before.
Kind of brings back good old memories.. they are pics taken on our regular road trips but never quiet made it to the blog. Why? dont ask... dunoo why, would love comments on what you guys think of them, and if they should have been put up in the first place.
That apart, the best time to see the wild is back, the rians hit us with a fury that we had long forgotten. Really strong winds and super heavy rains lashed our litttle town. We were left without power for most of the day and parts are still reeling from the effects.
But the good comes with the bad ( or is it the other way around), so, total greenery, pleasent temperatures, clean and fresh air accompany India's lifeline... The rains, And their true worth is apparent only if and when you become one with the true Rural India. How dependant our nation is on rains, is painfully obvious only when you see first hand the effect of its absence on India's mass base, " The Farmers". Lucliky having spend a good two years plus in their midist, around Nasik and Jalgaon, Have totally learnt to worship the rain gods. And hope to remain devout for the rest of my life even if someday, our sad politicians wake up to make our country less dependant on the monsoons....
