A quick trip to Ambolim

Bang in the middle of the week, off we were..... to Ambloim again. Been here, and done it before, but the place is so beautiful, it has tobe done every monsoon ( the best time to be there).
And the place was picture perfect. Absolutly out of this world. About 80-90 km from Panjim off the Mumbai highway from Sawantwadi, is this hill top heaven of ambolim, At the start of the Western Ghats, the place is lush green, and full of mini waterfalls ( at this time of the year) also a hell've lot of Fog... very hard to see too far or get clear pictures of...
One place not to miss during the months of June or july....

Savari Waterfall

this sunday, we had two new additions to our regular outings, viki, and old friend from school ( lost and recently found) and the ever so busy pravin...
not that we were complaining, its normally "more the merrier", to add to it, we also went on our first "proper" trek since we started this tradition of exploring.
It wasnt much actually by any trkking standards, just 6 km or so both ways, but our guide Moti (a local villager's dog)got us quiet lost on the way there, and we had to resort to walking through the rivlet to get to its source.
The place- Savari, near Netravali in the Sanguen district of south Goa, was quiet breathtaking. and the walk very invigorating. Through some lush green forest.
The icing on the cake however was the lunch we organised on the way at Netravali, where we, 5 famished guys got to eat some delicious chicken and pao( bread)...absolutly enjoyed it....
If you guys dont mind the walk, it a definate go go...

Parvath...

AAAHHH!!! finally got some more stuff on, missed my camera on the last few excurtions so had to contend with my camera phone, and was having great trouble downloading the stuff. Finally managed to figure it out. So here goes.
The last trip was to Parvath, ran up the 235 steps from the back side, and what a spectacle awaited us. With the monsoons here, gushing in the greenery, and than taking a break, opening up the clear blue skies, it was breathtaking... the fresh air, the beautiful sunset, the lush vegetation...and the worms all over the place. Spend the evening laying down on our hidden cliff top hangout, pushing the more adventerous worms down the cliff.... sitting there really missed the camera....
