There it was at last.... another beautiful sunday, my second most fav day of the week, after sat that is, sat gets the few extra points for its sunday anticipation apeal. while sun looses to the mon anticipation.
Any way a sunday in goa... has to be celebrated in the goan fashion. cant think of any better way as of right now. ( yet to try out a few other international fashions
) so took it as lazy as possibly could while packing as much into it as possible.
Starting off by meeting one of the few other guys in the age bracket remaining a headache to his parents. (ie. still single ) Actually its quiet a headache to us too considering, most of the good ol'chaps have other obligations now, good company is really hard to get. Any way this sunday was to be with Sacs (Sachin, rest of the identity concealed to protect privacy) and was to start at an early 12 o'clock. (again not stating the wake up hour, not after sunils calls at night)
The plan.... oops what plan... so we made some quick decisions untill good ol Paigamber Kamats ( name changed to protect my privacy this time) election victory rally made us change our routes. So off we went to lunch to this fab place, at least the view was fab ( pic enclosed ) food was ok, fried prawns, prawn curry rice etc. but delivered in typical goan style, ie we were left to merinate in the scenery for a good hour and half, not such a bad experience as we got a lot of catching up done with. (must mention the only other folks at the place were a good source of entertainment too), and oh! the place was called "River Sal" and was on the banks of a river going by the same name, situated at betul. Do recomend it as a place to visit, if in south goa with time to spare.
From there it was to be the beautiful fort of "cabo de ram" this i can say is one of my fav places in goa, a little known fort about 30km from margao, a bit complicated to get to, but a must see... The place is sadly, poorly mantained like any in south goa, but its got killer views from all over. Even sacs was much impressed. Got some pics for you guy here...
Sunday evenings are however reserved for a mini siesta before you hit the beach with the family, this time it was mom, tojo and me, cant say could have asked for anything better, the sunset was out of this world.
Dinner followed with kakode and fly, there too much catching up to do so that shot off pretty fast. infact even got an appointment with him for next year( this is for u pravin, if u are reading).
